Meet the Founder

[Elder] Eugenia Buie is the Author of the Trilogy “O.M.G. Get Ya Life” and self-publisher of her first book series Get Ya Life: From Victim to Victor!”. Her second book, NAMESAKE will be released in May 2025. She is also the founder of Overcomer’s Ministry Group: a ministry designed for people who have been mishandled yet survived to become overcomers. Elder Buie was also the first featured Author on the television series “Metamorfit Lifestyle” T.V. 

She is a graduate of Berkeley College with a degree in applied Science & Business Administration. She also attended Manhattan Bible Institute (Bronx extension) under the Late Bishop Michel White. Her role in ministry is consistent in the posture of support of the faith and bringing spiritual empowerment, development and health awareness to women via her many outlets of in-person and virtual speaking assignments. Eugenia is also a youth advocate and the founder of "Truth to the Youth ministry group. Eugenia, and her team travel within the tri-state area spreading information and truth to empower young people within their communities. Eugenia is also a dedicated partner with the Valhalla Women’s Correctional Facility & the Georgia Women’s Correctional Facility where she reminds the women that God is a loving and forgiving Father; and does not hold them to their past choices.

Eugenia is driven by the knowledge and understanding of the scripture “For I know the thoughts I think towards you says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you hope and a future!” She believes fully that nothing happens by chance and although she was indeed a victim she NOW stands, speaks, walks, and writes in VICTORY! (and so can you)

Eugenia's most recent challenge that she faced and conquered was her fight with Fibrosis. Having suffered for 20 years with fibroids and excruciating pain and discomfort because of it, she recently experienced and championed the Uterine Fibroid Embolization Procedure. Her testimony is: "What would have taken over 6 weeks to heal from only took me 6 business days!!” Not only did she have a minimally invasive procedure she was also able to maintain every God given part of her identity and womanhood! She proudly declares: “I can give birth if I choose to, and that alone is the ultimate gift that no one can ever take away from me."

At 18 years old, I preached my first sermon.

The message was clear then, and it’s still clear now:

“I must be about my Father’s business.”

The assignment was rooted in purpose, not perfection.

To preach good news.

To heal broken hearts.

To speak freedom over captives.

To help people see again.

To set the bound free.

Now let me be real.

Along the way, I had to get my life.

I had daddy issues.

Too many him’s I tried to justify.

Too many seasons where grace had to meet growth.

Yes, I’m a church girl.

But make no mistake, I’m uncensored.

And still…

With all I’ve done.

With all I’ve been through.

With all the learning, unlearning, healing, and growing

The assignment has never changed.

So here I am again.

Gathering.

Growing.

Answering the call.

And once more, with a full heart and open hands

I say….YES
